I thought Anna‰??s link had some acceptable solutions in use with the earlier comment about masks. I also agree with the recommendations to include a conversation with the user as well.

Many users are not aware that body area specific coverings are available in a variety of common protective materials beyond just the lab coats and gloves. Some of our labs really like flame resistant (FR) sleeves.
