Subject: Chemical Hygiene Officer Training

Does anybody know of a good training for how to be a Chemical Hygiene Officer that is not too expensive?  My school wants me to be the CHO f or the chemicals in the chemistry stockroom (not the whole school) and I 217;m insisting that I need to be trained in order to take this on.  Perhaps the training may tell me I don’t want to take this on, but we’ll see.  They are trying to find a cheap training that would adequately prepare me for this job and they (and I) don’t know where to look.  I know about the Lab Safety Institute’s Aug 19 training in Boston, and I will actually be in the Boston area for my vacation at that time, but they are looking for somethin g less expensive where they wouldn’t have to pay to  put me up i n a hotel room as well as pay for the training.  Any ideas?
