Hey Ralph - It might be
useful to know what the chemicals in the preservative were?å What
material is the cooler?å Did they try anything yet?
I usually start with ethanol and/or ethyl acetate on adhesive
residues.

Our biology department is cleaning out biological samples that have accumulated over about 20 years. Over the years, various non-formaldehyde based preservatives have slopped out of the containers into the cooler where they were stored, leaving a gummy residue behind on the floor of the cooler. I wonder if anyone has a found an effective way of removing this coating from the interior of the cooler? Thanks for any advice about this. - Ralph Ralph Stuart, CIH, CCHO Environmental Safety Manager Keene State College 603 358-2859 ralph.stuart**At_Symbol_Here**keene.edu --- For more information about the DCHAS-L e-mail list, contact the Divisional membership chair at membership**At_Symbol_Here**dchas.org Follow us on Twitter **At_Symbol_Here**acsdchas
