Thanks to all for the insight on formaldehyde. I won't say anything about the new sensor technology being developed (other chemical species being considered, too), but the suggestions to monitor in anatomy and veterinary facilities should provide hundreds of potential sites. The PI knows about the ones who replied here or directly to me, and will contact if interested.
