A 30-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, according to Cleveland EMS.
A Cleveland fire spokesperson said the woman was "cleaning out a semi-trailer tanker when she was overcome. Another worker went in to get her and was also rendered unconscious."
Firefighters used breathing apparatuses and used a hoist to rescue the two before the hazmat team arrived, authorities said.
No additional information has been released.

Emergency crews are working to evacuate residents in several homes on an Etobicoke street due to ‰??explosive levels‰?? of gas coming from a sewer, officials say.
A Toronto Fire Services spokesperson told Global News crews were called a home on Bulbourne Road, north of Albion Road and Finch Avenue West, just before 2 p.m. after a homeowner smelled gas in the basement.
After firefighters arrived, the spokesperson said it was determined the gas wasn‰??t coming from the home. The odour was determined to be coming from nearby sewers.

On person was injured in an incident involving chemicals at a hair salon in Whitman Thursday, according to the town‰??s fire department.
A hazmat situation was declared, a fire dispatcher said early Thursday evening.
Firefighters responded to Eugene‰??s Hair Design at 23 Temple St. for a ‰??chemical mixture off gassing with injury,‰?? the department said on Twitter.
It‰??s not known how serious the injuries are.
The hair salon could not be reached for comment.

A Northland property stockpiled one million litres of flammable and toxic chemicals. Almost two years since the situation came to the attention of authorities, the poorly stored solvents remain a fire and environmental risk.
While Government agencies struggled to get a polluter to clean up his mess, up to one million litres of flammable and toxic solvents in corroding drums has sat next door to key infrastructure.
The solvents were illegally accumulated by a Ruakaka solvent recycling plant in breach of its consent to store 50,000 litres of solvent. Poorly stored, they were thought to pose a fire danger to the Marsden Point oil refinery pipeline and its electricity supply.
Last week two grass fires occurred nearby. One was approximately 700 metres away from the property.
Locals are largely unaware of the scale of the issue on their doorstep.

The EPA won‰??t ask for assurance that chemical companies are capable of paying for cleanup after a fire, spill, explosion, or leak, the agency said in a proposal Thursday.
The Environmental Protection Agency found the chemical manufacturing industry is ‰??financially stable,‰?? and individual companies don‰??t need to submit proof of their ability to pay for environmental disasters at chemical facilities. The agency is proposing not requiring financial assurance for that industry under Superfund law, and will accept comments once the proposal (RIN:2050-AH05) is published in the Federal Register Friday.

It took the government almost nine years to draw up a project for relocating chemical factories and warehouses from Old Dhaka's Nimtoli where an inferno claimed 124 lives in 2010.
After another fire in Chawkbazar last year, the authority finally figured out that the Tk 201.80-crore project on a 50-acre land in Keraniganj upazila under Dhaka district was "very inadequate".
So, the project site was changed and more funds were allocated: the BSCIC Chemical Industrial Park will now be built on 308 acres in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj, while project costs ballooned to Tk 1,615.73 crore.
The changes in the plan are set to cause delay in project implementation and government officials cannot give exact time when the relocation of the plants and warehouses would start.
After the Nimtoli fire, the issue of factory relocation came to the fore as the neighborhood was highly susceptible to fire incidents due to the presence of a huge number of plastic and chemical plants and warehouses.

SUPERIOR, WI-- A "facility issue" at the Husky Refinery led to partial road closures in the area Thursday afternoon, according to the Superior Fire Deptartment.
There was "no risk of fire, explosion, release of any chemical, or other danger to the public." police said.
Around 3 p.m. Thursday, Superior Police say crews were working on a tower located on the south side of the Husky refinery when they reported hearing a "pop." Right afterwards, they noted a defect in the tower's structural integrity.
Refinery employees were evacuated as a precuation, and the gas and electric power to the refinery were turned off, according to Superior Police.
Authorities are assessing the issue and making plans "to remedy the situation as quickly and as safely as possible."
A portion of Stinson Avenue and Hill Avenue have been closed since 3:20 p.m.
"At this time there is no risk of fire, explosion, release of any chemical, or other danger to the public. To be clear, even in a scenario where the tower collapses there is nothing around the tower which could be struck which would cause a danger to the community," Superior Police wrote in a news release.

The SA ambulance centre has been forced to evacuate after a battery pack broke in a sever room on Thursday morning.
The SA Ambulance service said staff from one floor at the Emergency Operations Centre were relocated to the SA Police operations centre in the CBD after the broken battery pack caused ‰??minor infrastructure issues‰??.
MFS crews were called to the third floor of the Greenhill Rd building at 10:15am after the smell was noticed.

HOSPITAL chiefs say it was a spillage of hydrogen peroxide that prompted the dramatic temporary closure of Corbett Outpatients Centre in Stourbridge last week.
Fire crews, police and paramedics rushed to the Vicarage Road hospital just after 11am last Thursday (February 13) after a chemical leak was reported.
The site was temporarily closed and clinics postponed while firefighters worked to contain the spillage which hospital bosses say happened in a "secure, temperature controlled cabinet".
West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics assessed 10 people "who were showing symptoms relating to the incident" - nine of whom were discharged at the scene, while the tenth, a woman, was taken to Russells Hall Hospital as a precaution and was discharged the same day.
Diane Wake, chief executive of the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Our staff followed all the appropriate procedures and evacuated staff and patients in that area affected. There was no risk to the public."
She confirmed the spilled liquid was hydrogen peroxide which she said "is used for cleaning and sterilising scopes" and which can cause eye and throat irritation, coughing and breathing difficulties if inhaled.

More than 100 explosions were reported during a major fire Tuesday afternoon at the Metropolitan Eximchem Pvt Ltd chemical plant in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area in Dombivli, India, according to Indian news organizations.
Some 500 people were working in the plant when the blaze began at about 12:30 p.m. in a storage unit, coverage by the Times of India said. The facility produces intermediate chemicals for pharmaceutical and plastic production, the newspaper said.
‰??Thick smoke was released since the factory manufactures 18 types of chemicals. The entire factory has been charred in the incident. There were small explosions as well,‰?? Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) Chief Fire Officer Dilip Gund told the Hindustan Times. ‰??We suspect a boiler inside the plant may have also exploded due to the blaze.‰??

‰??The fires of today are way different from the fires of a long time ago,‰?? said Henrico Fire Chief Doug Reynolds.
Tuesday‰??s recycling plant fire, for example, burnt tires and other chemicals, sending black smoke into the air.
But even the average house fire can put the health of firefighters at risk. Reynolds points to chemicals found in many types of furniture, like foam mattresses and often come delivered in compact boxes.
‰??When they catch on fire and start to melt, all those gases start to catch on fire. It is a ‰??toxic soup‰?? within a house fire,‰?? he said.
Reynolds says in the last few years, his county has put a major emphasis on the health of the 500 members of their fire force ‰?? and it starts on-scene with decontamination.

KOCHI: The massive fire that broke out at Brahmapuram waste treatment plant on Tuesday afternoon was brought under control on Wednesday evening after 22 hours of efforts by the fire and rescue services officials.
Eleven fire tenders from 10 units, five high-pressure water pumps, eight earthmovers and water tankers were used to bring the blaze under control. While nearly 100 firefighters began efforts to douse the flame from Tuesday afternoon, they were forced to stop due to the bad light.
‰??We resumed the operations around 5am on Wednesday. The wind direction and scorching sun posed difficulty in containing the blaze. However, our efforts paid off. The situation is completely under control,‰?? said a fire and rescue services official.
He said since the corporation had separated the plastic waste from the heap, a major tragedy was averted
