"Chemists Without Borders (CWB)" has been working for several years in Bangladesh to test and supply safe drinking water to small communities. The ground water in Bangladesh is contaminated with some of the highest levels of Arsenic in the world. CWB use several technologies to remove arsenic from the drinking water. Unfortunately, there is no ICP or graphite furnace atomic absorption (GFAA) available to CWB in Bangladesh to quickly measure the metal contaminants in the water. I am working with CWB to set up an independent water testing lab in Chittagong, Bangladesh, and looking for a gift of used ICP or GFAA. This equipment will be housed in one of the local universities and will serve the CWB's growing need to check water quality before and after the treatment. The data from the instrument will be used exclusively for measuring the levels of metal contaminants and not for reporting to any agency.  If you have a ICP or GFAA that you can donate to CWB, please contact me at achalkgarg**At_Symbol_Here**gmail.com or 513-378-7610. That old decommissioned ICP may not have much value to your lab or institution, but it will help CWB save lives in Bangladesh. We will arrange the shipping from your place to Bangladesh.
