Good morning!
A professor in my department is developing a lab for a chemistry in art course and would like to have students mix pottery glazes (on a very small scale and for one experiment only) according to an old =E2=80=98recipe'
provided by our art department. The problem is that the names of the compounds as written in the recipe are not the actual chemical names, making it impossible to look up an SDS to research the hazards, and the art department doesn't have this information,
maybe never did. They quit using the recipe because they're not set up to handle the hazards.
I hope some of you who are knowledgeable about pottery glazes can help me identify the
real chemical names for these compounds, or point me in the right direction for doing so. Because of the listserv's permissions, I can't attach the recipe to this email, but
if you think you can help, please email me and I'll send it to you for a look.
I'd be grateful for any help you can give!
