Initial on-line Laboratory Safety training is required of everyone - faculty, grad students, undergrads, post-docs, visiting scholars, staff - who will work in a laboratory setting.  3 year refresher is required and automated through the learning management system.

 

Lab-specific training - which would include the lab's safety plan and spill response, the Department Injury Illness Prevention Plan and Emergency Action Plan - is required annually.  The labs are free to develop their own flavor of lab-specific training.
