My question when I saw that headline was whether the Chief misspoke or the press person misheard. Either is possible and once the story was typed up, there was no one downstream to catch the mistake.
It also reminded me of the advice that I found while researching hydrofluoric acid safety for a chemical engineering lab:
if an exposure occurs, tell everyone involved that the chemical involved is "HF" because the busy helper is likely to hear the more familiar "hydrochloric acid" and treatment is quite different between the two.
