This article is related to the NIH notice I sent over the weekend... The quote that caught my eye is:
"Davies knows it is still an uphill battle, but her ultimate goal is to make QA as much a part of research as peer review"
I think that this process establishes starting peer review before the results are generated as best scientific practice, which is a significant cultural change in the lab.
