Hi Ralph,

My Dymo labels (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.officedepot.com_a_products_591778_DYMO-2DLabelWriter-2D30330-2DWhite-2DReturn-2DAddress_&d=BQIFAg&c=lb62iw4YL4RFalcE2hQUQealT9-RXrryqt9KZX2qu2s&r=meWM1Buqv4IQ27AlK1OJRjcQl09S1Zta6YXKalY_Io0&m=H0XQLVdmgVwXMR-KWjsp3mFboK3dR5aoUFUlS1POF1Y&s=8fu99U7Kl0E6L6_oIkvW2tprtCm1onh-w2X5-5RZJA4&e= ) are lasting 10+ years, are pretty good at chemical resistance because they are thermal labels, and peal off easily over time from my glassware, plastic bins, and poated coated shelving (not so well from my magnets). I have been using them for the 14 years that I have been doing this.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Bar code labels for chemical containers

Does anyone have any specific recommendations for bar code label vendors whose labels:
1. last a long time (around a decade);
2. resist chemical contamination; and
3. are reliably removable from the container when the occasion arises in the lab setting?

Thanks for any leads on this.

- Ralph
