Dr. Czerwinski,
Thank you for sending this. Actually we do like the book and are using it for our CHEM 4300 Safety in the Academic Laboratory course.

Hill and Finster, Laboratory Safety for Chemistry Students.
I think David is lurking on this one. Probably doesn't want to blow his own horn. He and I are both CHO's and chemistry faculty. I was going to teach an outreach course and his book fit the bill. I think it covers all the topics you asked about. If you send David an email with questions he is very helpful. He is (was) also the fire chief for his community.
David, correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

From: Good Afternoon, What text(s) would you suggest for the following course? Any ideas would be appreciated. CHEM 4310 Handling Hazardous Materials: "A study of the principles and methods of handling hazardous materials in the workplace. Coverage includes the nature and scope of hazards in the workplace and an overview of regulations of hazardous materials and worker safety, occupational diseases, fundamentals of industrial hygiene, basic concepts of toxicology, and an introduction to risk assessment. Prerequisite: Approval of department chairperson." Thank you very much. Best, Ruth Ann Murphy, Ph.D.
