In answer to the other half of your question, do " we need to provide and
(M)SDS with every shipment?" The answer is no. If you need to provide an
SDS at all, the minimum requirement is to prove it with the first shipment
to each customer and with the first shipment following any significant
change to the information in the SDS. As a practical matter, whether you
send an SDS with each shipment might also depend on how large your customer
is (are you confident the SDS will reach the product user if not attached to
each shipment?) and how helpful you want to be.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Query on (M)SDS and shipments

Dear DCHAS members,

I would like to know if an (M)SDS is required on all shipments of electrical
devices? The device itself contains various chemical constituents. The
constituents can be placed on the (M)SDS, but we need to provide and (M)SDS
with every shipment?

I was looking at the OSHA/GHS regulations & statements but was unsuccessful.

Any assistance/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
