Marjorie, They grind slow but usually fine. I think what I would do in your position is call the enforcement branch and see if they will tell you what the status is. Whether they tell you or not, I'd ask them to direct you to the paper work to fill out to become an "interested party" on these enforcement actions. If you can get this status, and you probably can since this all affects you, you will know as much as anyone does outside of CalOSHA itself.
I was the consultant/representative to an "interested party" and to the union in a CalOSHA action that lasted from 1999 to 2003. Notification automatically goes to the both the employer and the interested party. We have EVERYTHING including videos of ALJ hearings and testimony. And this was a groundbreaking action for my field.
Now, that's the common sense part of my answer. But administrators sometimes mistakenly think information on citations, actions, and settlements belongs to them to parcel out and spin. In this case, the truth might make you free, if you get my drift.

I have a CalOSHA question that I would appreciate any input on.
Our small community college chemistry and biology departments had a surprise inspection by CalOSHA several months ago, and our departments have yet to hear any results of this inspection. Our college administration has been circumspect to say the least about the visit and any resulting report, so we (faculty and lab techs) are curious and a little concerned about the results. Does anyone know if faculty and lab techs have a right to see a CalOSHA report concerning their work area? Also, do you know how long it generally takes for a CalOSHA report to be generated (Sacramento area) as I guess it is possible that the report has not yet been generated?
Sincerely,
