Safety Goggles do not have presciption lens because of the distance from the eye lens. Many companies make safety gogles that fit over presciption glasses. The presciption glasses should be made of impact resistant lens and frames that are worn under the goggles. There are tree types of safety goggles; vented,semi-vented and non-vented. Requirements of which type of safety goggle to be used is generally spelled out in most MSDS's, the new SDS's or by OSHA regulation. The vented are less likely to fog but offer the least safety. THe non-vented will definitely fog up over time but they make an anti-fogging solutions which can be applied to the goggle lens to reduce the fogging and lenghten the where time of the goggles. One other note is continued use and long term use of non-vented goggles is not good for your eyes. The lack of ventilation can and may cause damage to your eyeballs. If long term use of protect is needed for the work you do, I suggest the use of a full face respiration with inserts, full-face supplied air system with inserts, or a PAPR with safey glasses under the hood or face-shield.

Hi all-
I wear glasses but the safety glasses I listed are the best. Very comfortable. I found mine on sale locally for $1.50.

I think inserts could work OK in goggles. I've had them in wrap-around safety glasses. You'd still having the fogging issue that all chemical goggle wearers share, and a slightly more annoying cleaning procedure. I'm sure I've seen these for sale, but can't find a source just now. Here's a site that offers prescription inserts for goggles, but I'm not certain if they are available for chemical splash resistant goggles as opposed to "tactical" goggles. http://www.trispeceyegear.com/products/goggle-spectacle-rx-inserts/

I've had a request to find a supplier for prescription chemical splash goggles. The requestor finds goggles over spectacles uncomfortable. Would inserts actually work (they are a pain in the neck, literally)?
Ideas?
