I don't know who made them, but back in the dark ages when there was still hair and I was in the Air Force Reserves, we had special inserts for us glasses  wearers that fit inside the old M-17a gas masks.  Hades on those of us who needed bifocals, but at least you could choose near or distance vision.  They did work and didn't make wearing the M-17a any more uncomfortable than it already was (which was plenty).

I've had a request to find a supplier for prescription chemical splash goggles. The requestor finds goggles over spectacles uncomfortable.  Would inserts actually work (they are a pain in the neck, literally)?

 

Ideas?
