That makes sense.  And I forgot that a few common solid mixtures like sodium hydroxide are tested, But as I remember, the way the test is set up, the mixture has to be in a liquid for to have contact with the membrane.

Not a flaw at all, Monona.  It is simply a statement of economic fact:  All gloves cannot be tested against all chemicals or all possible solvent/solute permutations unless one has an infinite amount of time, talentand treasure to do such testing.



If a user is all that curious, they can, of course, submit a glove sample and challenge agent to an ASTM testing facility and pay for the test themselves.
