To  all who are in  Academic Research-< /span>

In this tight economy, universities are finding ways to reco up expenses. 

 How many of you have a Facilities department that supp orts & services fume hoods as part of the general infrastructure of the laboratory?  Meaning, they will service water supply, HVAC, sewer, electricity, etc. and consider fume hoods part of the ventilation system.

Or-

Do any of you have a system in place where Facilities charge s individual departments for their Time &  Materials, specifically f or fume hoods?
