Subject: Shared Glassware in Labs

Hello,

My name is Karen Humphrey and I'm the Lab Coordinator at Baylor University.
We're working to establish a traditional Freshman Chemistry lab for the F
all of 2010. We're looking at pushing about 1000 students through the labs
every week, and we're not going to have the space or the money to give eac
h student their own glassware. The faculty seems to prefer the students to
work individually instead of in pairs, which would cut the glassware in ha
lf. They have proposed community glassware for the sections.

I'm wondering if there are people on this list who have experience with sha
red glassware in labs? If so, I'd like to know what process you use, and h
ow it works. I'm looking for a way that will be simple, organized, and eff
icient and be able to handle 3 simultaneous sections of 24 students at one
time.

Please respond directly to me: Karalyn_Humphrey**At_Symbol_Here**baylor.edu

Thanks,
Karen Humphrey
