Subject: Iodine corrosivity
Is sublimed crystalline iodine corrosive enough
to corrode a metal trap in a sink. The teacher ran water over the iodine
for about 15 min. I know iodine is not very water soluble. The hole in
the sink trap occurred overnight after iodine was put in the
sink.
