Major responsibilities include: (1) Develop and conduct a comprehensive needs assessment for safety and health training for campus departments; (2) Develop, document, and deliver safety and health training programs based on need assessments to all levels of university personnel, including specialized training programs and new/transfer employee training programs. Work with other staff to coordinate total safety and health training program; (3) Develop, maintain, and audit university safety and health computerized training records and database, including re-training and tracking employee training records; (4) Coordinate with regulatory agencies to insure training programs meet state, federal, and local regulatory requirements. Coordinate purchase and development of additional training programs; (5) Maintain and expand departmental website; (6) Serve as liaison with University Safety and Health Committee to inform them of training programs and deficiencies.
