Shiela,

We here at Temple University (College of Science and Technology) require our
biology and chemistry labs to wear lab coats.  Inexpensive disposables are
available at a low cost in the book store for the students.  They can be
reused for this purpose.   PPE is an OSHA requirement and quite frankly, it
would seem that part of the training that students get here is compliance
with safety standards.
